FRI-YAY!
Over the last couple days we have:
- We met our Grade 1 buddies and did a get to know me activity
- We combined snack and field study, and took our snacks outside
- Had our first Music on a Friday
- We made puzzle pieces with our names and what they mean on them
- Continued our wood cookies and circles around us
- We continued working on time and used our clocks we made
- We did our first Science activity where we wrote down Matter Vocabulary
- We learned our first root word, TELE and talked about what it means
Information from 4D:
- Students are allowed to bring their own books to read at school, but as always, personal items have the possibility of being lost, broken or stolen. It is up to your family to make the best decision for you.
- Students are STRONGLY encouraged to read and practice basic facts daily. As we continue on in the year, these will be important skills to help students succeed. By the end of Grade 3, students are expected to know up to 10x10. In Grade 4, we go up to 12x12 and build on previous knowledge as we move on to more complex math topics, such as prime and composite numbers, long division and algebra. Working together will help students to be as successful as possible in Grade 4.
Have a great weekend :)
