What's going on?
- In Math, we did practice questions to prepare for our Show What You Know tomorrow
- In Music, we did an activity with colouring
- In Social Studies, we talked about rules and answered questions in our Social Studies books
- Yesterday, we did practice questions for factoring, prime and composite numbers
- We have been working on making connections to different texts. Today, we read The Bad Seed and made text-to-self, text-to-text and text-to-world connections. We have been trying to expand our ability to make connections and had a discussion as a class about putting in effort even when it is difficult. Many students struggled to connect the variety of texts to their lives. We now don't say "I don't know what to write", we have to brainstorm first!
- In our writing, we have also discussed what Grade 4 level writing looks like. We need to have 5 sentences per connection, and examples from the text and what you are connecting it to.
- Thank you to those that have been bringing back your school work after you take it home to finish it
- Tomorrow, we are having our Prime and Composite Show What You Know!
- In Phys Ed, we have continued to practice our skills in basketball
